People just don't seem to "get it," and THAT is something *I* don't get.

I had not heard the story about the duck. Very, very interesting. Hunting sucks worse than pretty much anything, in my view.

Thank G-d for animal rescue places!KleoPatrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15870163086087701279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27547948.post-12845515919287404362007-02-06T09:27:00.000-08:002007-02-06T09:27:00.000-08:00I've never heard of that cheese.. It's weird - just like the movie scene. The family was perfectly happy to kill and eat the duck but once they found it alive in their fridge they took it to a wildlife sanctuary... go figure.Freedomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04161195753297828148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27547948.post-3074598553460234652007-01-31T11:13:00.000-08:002007-01-31T11:13:00.000-08:00I haven't heard of Little Lad's "cheese". Most of the time now, I have to just avoid it altogether. I feel like a wimp. We very seldom go to the theatre, but watch movies at home. I just leave the room & Jim calls me back when it's "safe".
Anyhow, I'm lovin' that tofu! I'll have to see if that sauce is available here. It sounds really good! Mac n' cheese! Mmmm! And the stew looks scrumptious as well. Great post Jody!Carrieā¢https://www.blogger.com/profile/03326682699231189746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27547948.post-5904794113078458362007-01-29T19:27:00.000-08:002007-01-29T19:27:00.000-08:00Hi jody:

What I meant was that I'm really over-sensitive and squeamish, and generally have a low tolerance for gore in movies, whether real or fake, animal, or human. I don't mean I'll boycott Babel or anything, just think twice about it! Thank you so much for the heads-up, though! =)
P.S. Your food looks fab. I'm fascinated by those sprouted nuts.bazuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07020880461667324114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27547948.post-11766694022974599692007-01-29T05:39:00.000-08:002007-01-29T05:39:00.000-08:00Ugh-I think your description is enough to make me ...Ugh-I think your description is enough to make me not want to see Babel. I know I'm overly sensitive but...this is just like the last scene in Fast Food Nation. Even though I closed my eyes, I was in shock the for the next few hours after that. Thanks for the heads-up!bazuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07020880461667324114noreply@blogger.com
